Art or Pornography?

Aline Met Art Aline Met Art Aline Met Art

Do you know the difference between art and pornography? We believe if you look at Aline you will.

Aline is one of the youngest models on Met Art. As such, she is an excellent example of the sensual, not sexual, nature of our content. Met Art offers art, not porn, which means its content can be appreciated at both the erotic and the aesthetic level.

Photographers since the invention of the medium have been capturing images of young women in an artistic form. Today, this genre is exemplified by geniuses such as Russia’s Kirill Borgia and Gennadi Balitski, England’s Ben Walker, America’s Robert McCall, Slovakia’s Roland Gaspar, Canada’s Katrina Webb, and the famous photographers featured on MET– Sandro Cignali, David Hamilton, Don Marcus, and others. These artists work with young women (though not exclusively) as the subjects of their art, bringing out a beauty that could not be seen in any other way.

If one looks at the photographs of Aline, one sees the qualities that make these photos art, and not porn. First, there is the attention paid to environment. The model is posing in a place – in this instance, what appears to be a cool, calm forest, much like the places where young people first experience making love – that is desirable, beautiful, and alluring in itself.

Next, there is the lighting, which is an essential component of a photograph. The lighting in Aline’s photos varies from picture to picture, which means that one can sense the different moods and tones of the model. Sometimes the lighting is muted and low, indicating a still and sensual tone. Sometimes it is bright and sharp, indicating a more vibrant, exciting tone. Most important, however, is the way the light is used to accentuate the different erotic aspects of the model. For instance, look at how the light and shadow play across Aline’s derriere as she leans against the tree. Don’t they add to the tender curves? Also, look at the light playing across her small pink nipples, giving emphasis to their budding quality. Aline is literally brought to life through light in these photos.

Finally, there is special care taken to bring out the unique personality of the model. In this case, the model first appears close-up, in a black dress, seeming like she is on her way to Church or some formal event. You can see into her pale blue eyes. You can see the different color tones in her skin. You can see the individual strands of her hair. Then, once the model strips down to her under-shirt, you begin to see her privacy, her tenderness, her gentle girlish quality.
Finally, as she removes her clothes and exposes her virginal nudity, you go deeper into her personal world, and you feel that you know her, that you are there with her. This is natural photography at its best.

In the end, the difference between art and porn is respect. Art respects the model, and this is why girls are young as Aline are eager and happy to pose naked for the photographer. They know they will be respected. They know they will look more beautiful in these photos than they have ever looked before. They know they will bring both erotic and aesthetic pleasure. They know they are not being exploited, but enjoyed. And doesn’t that make all the difference in the world?
