The nation of Italy has a history of art and beauty going back well over 3,000 years. It is often referred to as one of the seed-beds of Western Civilization, largely due to its role in the Roman Empire and the Renaissance. Rigon was born in Italy in 1961. His artistic passion soon became focused on fine art nude and portrait photography. His inspiration comes from the nude female form and the aesthetics of its dynamics. To him, “erotic” implies much more than mere nudity. Rather, it is a sense of the provocative, of the alluring, of the natural sublime. In his photographs, he attempts to capture the beauty of humanity in photographs, much as his forebears in the Roman and Grecian arts attempted it in stone.
Rigon’s signature technique is based on soft illumination that brings the character and sensitivity of the model to the foreground, bringing out her unique attributes in graphic, yet sensual, detail. All his images are digitally softened for maximum appeal. The result are astoundingly perfect black and white nudes as well as color images.
