Why did Voronin, so known for his super modern and sensual images of typically non-African girls, name the presently discussed series, “Africa”? As is usually the case with Voronin’s style, the clues are both obvious and subtle. But looking into them gives us a greater appreciation of this particular photo series.
To begin with, yes, there is a “zebra skin” hanging from the wall in the background. The bikini worn by our model is something “African,” if one considers that word to mean something black, fuzzy, and tribal looking. Finally, one has to admit that many of the qualities of Africa that Conrad conjures in Heart of Darkness – mystery, danger, and wildness – are present in this model, especially if you look in the eyes. She has, it almost seems, a “heart of darkness.” Yes, she is pale of complexion and sweet of demeanor, but there seems to be something more serious and perhaps sinister lurking underneath…or one can only hope so.

The series you see featured on this page is taken by Slastyonoff, and it is called Cleansing. She is nude at the washbasin, and she is splashing and rubbing herself with the refreshing liquid. That woman also happens to be the incomparable Narkiss.
As is usually the case with a Narkiss series, what you find here is a mix of highly erotic and quite natural. She is going through a simple process of cleansing herself, but it’s the way she does it that is so stunning. It’s the way she splashes the water over her full, ripe breasts. It’s the way she welcomes you into the image with a stare both sultry and innocent. And it’s the way she appears, fully nude, before the fountain of rapture. Narkiss is quite a sight.
Of course, Slastyonoff gets some of the thanks as well. His lens is always so crisp and focused, and he has a knack for getting us in so close to his model, you almost feel like you’re closer to Narkiss than you’ve ever been to any other woman. Inna: “Bonne” by Voronin
Voronin’s camera obviously can’t get enough of this auburn-haired siren. It is easy to understand why. This gallery contains an amazing amount of photographs. Choosing only a few to highlight from this series was a difficult task.
This one-of-a-kind model is dressed in a titillating cherry red lingerie set for this photo shoot. The polka-dotted red bra and panty set is accented with white lace and a red garter belt. Inna is simply adorable. Red dangling earrings and a bracelet of red beads are accent pieces worn by the model. Platform heels with thick ankle straps adorn the model’s feet. Her ravishing lips are glossed with succulent glistening red lipstick.
The background for this series is an ivory wall with several lighted recessed shelves. Eclectic mixes of collectibles are nestled within the shelves of the wall. These pieces add splashes of color throughout the series.
Voronin provides many close-range photographs of Inna. The first featured selection emphasizes her full sensuous mouth. The fiery-haired vixen puckers up for Voronin’s camera. Her sultry eyes lined with thick dark lashes are enchanting. The model leans close to Voronin’s camera and offers a view of her bare breasts. This photograph is completely Inna – little of a background is even visible. Stray locks of her hair trail down the side of her lovely face and add even more sensuality to her image.
The next photograph focuses on Inna’s generous and perfectly formed derriere. The model has removed her tiny panties but retains her garter belt and bra. There is an element of slow seduction embodied within this photograph. Voronin has included enough photographs to include viewers in every aspect of Inna’s strip tease. The model’s expression is one of playful pleasure. Her curls are untamed and a bit wild.
Inna’s distinctive mouth gives her the ability to conjure so many imaginings. The third photograph from this series presents Inna with a pouting expression. It wouldn’t be any surprise if this heavenly creature was a spoiled princess prone to fits of tantrums. She can certainly play the part well if this isn’t the case. Voronin invokes some soft lighting in this photo to create some shadows.
The last photograph featured presents Inna wearing nothing except her garter belt. The model is captured with her long legs parted and an explicit view of her most intimate space is offered. She poses sitting side-ways upon a colorful lime green chair. The model holds a bundle of streaming red beads in her hand. Jenya – Katie Fey: “Vitium” by Voronin
Voronin chooses to use brilliant white light as the background against which to feature the dark beauty of the statuesque Jenya. The starkness of the white backdrop contrasts vividly against this model’s wild ebony hair and brown eyes. Jenya’s attire is composed of a glittery gray blouse, a pair of black string bikini panties, black thigh high leggings, and a pair of high heel suede leather boots. Jenya is dressed to seduce and entice with her feminine wiles – and she succeeds in a tasteful and artistic way throughout the entire gallery.
This series is quite a departure from Voronin’s usual photographic style. The camera angles utilized by Voronin are unusual and are a testament to this photographer’s ability to integrate variety and progressiveness into his work. This gallery is reminiscent of a high fashion photo shoot yet touches of fine nude art photography are woven throughout the pictorial spread.
About halfway through the gallery, Voronin adds a russet-colored chair to the backdrop of the series that coordinates with the boots Jenya wears until the end of the series. This chair is part of the cover photograph introducing this series. Jenya is photographed perched atop the back of the chair. Her head is slightly lowered and her expression is one of raw sensuality. The model’s generous breasts are bared as well as the sparse darkness between her parted legs.
Voronin provides a sultry headshot of Jenya in the next photo selected for review. The model is captured in a reclining position with her cat-like eyes barely closed. Jenya’s crimson red lips are perfectly shaped. Her strong chin is slightly upturned and she looks as if she is awaiting a lover’s kiss. She appears as if she could walk right off of the screen at any moment.

Ashanti – Diabolique – By A. Fedorov
Fedorov is a man known for his imagination. He goes the distance when it comes to expressing his innermost visions. When he works with a model, he is the master at helping her realize his reality, bringing her body to the edge of his fantasies. And Ashanti is one of his favorite models to work with because she’s so willing to go there.
Another reason that Fedorov prefers Ashanti over the many other young models willing to pose naked for him is more personal than just preferring the way she works. Yes, Ashanti is pliable and talented when it comes to posing and emitting a requested emotion of flair. But there’s something more to it than that for Fedorov. To put it simply, Ashanti inhabits his dreams.
As we said, the man works in mysterious ways, and one such way is that he consults his fantasies and dreams for inspiration. One such dream features a nymph-like creature that dances naked for him in a field. He is tied to a tree and there are flames all around. The more the nymph dances, the higher the flames go and the closer they come to burning him. Fedorov says he has always equated the nymph with a kind of demon who is conjuring forth the fires of hell to seduce Fedorov to even greater degrees of inspiration. For inspiration, says the artist, comes from the underworld, not from heaven.
When Fedorov first say Ashanti at a casting call, he says his spine tingled and he almost blacked out. There, he thought, is the demon from my dreams. The same body, the fame face, the same way of moving. He almost expected to feel the flames as she stepped into the camera frame. And Ashanti, unknowingly, played into this image of herself. She requested a red light be used for her test shoot. She looked “wickedly” and “devilishly” into the lens. She smiled with a certain degree of mischievousness that both aroused and frightened the photographer.
And that is why Fedorov named this series “Diabolique.” For the devilish ways of the young Ashanti. If you look at her smile, or the way her hair stands up in little horns on occasion, or the perfect curvature of her young body, you can almost see the devil’s handiwork. And it’s then you agree with the artist – beauty comes from the underworld.

Lena – Vantage by Slastyonoff
Lazy as a cat in the afternoon light, Lena stretches out in the window eaves. It’s been a long day of shooting, and she is tired. Despite all her energy, Slastyonoff has sapped her this time. All those poses! All those positions! All she wants to do is relax, and it’s from this mood that the best photos of the day appear.
In this update we’re featuring three series from the incredible Russian photographer, Slastyonoff. Met-Art members have been enjoying his photos for months now, and we’re pleased to have featured them in these pages as well. Yet we’ve never dedicated an entire issue to his work, and we feel the time is right to do so.
For those who know Slastyonoff’s work, they know he is a master of the large, elegant, brave nude. His women are always risky, daring, and full of life. There is a largesse to them – their spirits seem full of power, their bodies are usually on the athletic side, and their posing is always to the max. It is perhaps Slastyonoff that first brought the “open legs” to Met-Art and changed forever the style of photography that now appears within the site.
Lena is pure Slastyonoff. A powerful body, you can imagine she’s a handful in the sheets. She has that perfect body that Slastyonoff seems to so enjoy, yet there’s never anything unnatural about it. And that blonde hair – for the most part, Slastyonoff prefers blondes, being the gentleman that he is.
The pictorial from which you see samples is also classic Slastyonoff. There’s the typical face shots, showing the intimate details of the model’s personality. But there’s also the more revealing shots – close-ups of the erect nipples atop breasts that seem buoyant and full; shots showing the model bent over so that the intimate details of her backside are revealed; and then, of course, the open-leg shots, displaying her full feminine flavor to the camera.

Gypsies by G. Galitsin
They wander the fields and streets of Europe. Their history is little known, except that some believe they come from an ancient stock of Romanian peasants who spread out across the continent to avoid the persecution of medieval overlords. Their traditions are largely shrouded in mystery.
What is known about them is that they love freedom and all its pleasures. Throughout Europe they are known for being excellent dancers and musicians. They also make their own clothes, giving them a distinctive look. Finally, they are proponents of free love and leisurely ways. Their young women grow up very fast at the festivals they hold around the campfires at their secret meeting places.
And who better to depict this wild gypsy spirit than two of Met-Art’s most classic young models, Julia and Valentina. Galitsin, their photographer, has always been an expert and conjuring images from historical periods and social movements, and this series is no different. Looking at these two young vixens playing in nature is like having a private viewing into young female gypsy life.
One immediately wonders, what are they doing back there, behind the hay? Young girls go hiding about for so many reasons. Sometimes it is to meet young boys, and sometimes it is to meet each other. From the looks of these darlings, it could be for both.
