Lidiya A: Lathias by Voronin
The sweet and inimitable pixie, Lidiya A, returns to Met Art in “Lathias.” For this lovely series, photographer Voronin makes a bold choice. Rather than choosing to compliment Lidiya’s surprisingly bright red hair with a cool background color, he heats up the scene by photographing the young model atop a ruby red duvet.
Lidiya is a lovely and spirited young woman with a dainty figure, elfin cuteness, and a flawless porcelain complexion. For this charming photo shoot, her body is bare, her hair is loosely curled, and her delicate features are complimented by only the slightest touch of makeup. Lidiya has worked with Met for several years, imbuing every appearance with a natural freshness and innocence. However, in her more recent photo shoots, this petite model has begun to show experience and maturity, adding a coy and provocative element to her enduring adorableness.
Throughout this bright and cheerful series, Voronin shoots Lidiya from above. The camera hovers over her body, moving in and out to capture the model as she wriggles atop a messy set of sheets. From this angle, Voronin captures every inch of Lidiya’s tender stomach, slender backside, and pert breasts. Lidiya is clearly comfortable in front of the camera, and though her personality is sweet and girlish, she exudes an undeniable confidence and aplomb.
In the first featured portrait from the series, Lidiya’s is angelic. Folded in front of the camera, she gently places her hand on her shoulder and stares at the photographer with a set of sparkling and almond-shaped brown eyes. A hint of a smile crosses her pink lips.
In the second image, Lidiya is curled up on the red duvet, she pulls her legs up, crossing her feet gently. It is notable how Voronin is able to perfectly frame Lidiya’s petite figure with the bright folds of fabric. The softness of the sheets combined with the model’s soft skin creates a luxurious quality to this photograph. The ruby red sheets form an incredibly striking compliment to the model’s pink skin and crimson hair.
In the final feature image, Voronin moves in closer, capturing Lidiya’s lithe body lying diagonally across the frame of the photo. Curving slightly sideways, she lifts her left knee to reveal the flesh between her thighs while demurely pulling her hand downwards, to slightly obstruct the view. Her smoky eyes create a deepness and allure within the photo.
