Metart Marketa B & Zuzana S ‘Power’

In the age of feminism (or post-feminism, depending on where you stand), the question of “the power of woman” is something that is often discussed and written about. What makes a woman “powerful”? The answer, of course, depends on who you talk to, and it is as different among different men as it is among different women. Perhaps it’s too personal to decide, or perhaps there are “universal signs of feminine power” that one can point to across cultures. Be that as it may, we are given in this photo series by Magoo a glimpse into one such “power definition,” and if this is what female power is, we say “Bring it on!”

What one sees when one first opens up the first page of this 220 image series are two stunningly beautiful women posing together on a black and white checkerboard floor. One is sitting in a large leather chair that looks as if it came out of some Gothic castle, and the other is stretched out on the floor. The girls are Marketa B and Susana S. Both are wearing black lace bra and panty combinations that give them a slight dominatrix air. Both seem to be very interested sensually in their partner and the viewer behind the lens. They are, as one might say, representing.

What then follows is some very provocative and powerful posing indeed. Switching places frequently, the two models display their various features to the lens, pulling down or removing various clothing items to give a luscious view of what’s beneath. Here you see one of them placing her red lips on the other’s aroused nipple. Here you see them turning around, pulling their panty straps up between their cheeks, and giving a full-on view of their delicious backsides. And here you see them opening their thighs and letting all the world know just how truly sweet they are. All in all, an incredibly engaging display of perfectly gorgeous young women.

So, where’s the power? Well, in lots of places. First, it’s in their desire and bravery to do what they are doing. Who among us would submit our physical presences to such exacting scrutiny? Of course, who among us is as astoundingly beautiful as these young delights? Second, it’s in their knowing the control they have over the viewer. They know they can steer our gaze to whatever body part they desire us to look at. They are in command, and that is power par excellence. Finally, it’s in their “spirit,” as you might call it.

Confident and poised, these two paragons of feminine grace emit a certain innocence mixed with an overwhelming domination. They know what they want and they know how to get it. That is power, and who among us cares to argue with that?
