Instead of straight girls posing as lesbians and pretending to be aroused by each other, you have straight girls sitting together, perhaps touching, kissing, licking, pulling one another’s clothes off, but the center of attention, the “focus of passion,” as it were, is on the camera, and the camera is you, the male viewer, and the models want your presence.
That is the genius of Voronin in shoots like this, and why they’re so titillating. They play up this absence. They insinuate by their very lack. The models are dreaming of a male presence, of all his powerful lust would bring to the scenario, and this is stirring their sensual appetites, but deep in their hearts, they can’t please one another. They need another. There is desire in these photos. The desire of the models for a play partner. For someone to “fill the gap,” as it were. They are world class girls, naked and alone, but together…a double temptation, a call to arms, an urge needing to be satiated.
