We fell in love with this gallery as soon as we lald eyes on it. We’re sure you will too. The insanely talented Nancy Murrian has used a setting and style that hearkens back to those original decorative beauties: the pin-up girls of the 40s and 50s. And the model she’s chosen to recreate these fantastic images could not be more perfect. Katka’slong, curling locks, her full bust and shapely legs, bring to mind the most inspiring features of Betty Grable and Rita Hayworth. Katka would have been just as comfortable adorning the wall of some WWII’s soldier’s bunk as she is on these pages. And you’ll love her just as much as they would have.

You’ll love her for what she represents. Nancy Murrian, in this series, uses Katka to represent an entire era – or more – of feminine desirability and perfection. She’s shot here as the perfect girl: blonde, ripe, beautiful. Her figure is arranged in a series of classic poses; she lifts her hair up off her shoulders, she preens before the lens, her knees first demurely pressed together, and then, later, spread wide.
